Hi, I’m Lekha Shastry, a visual artist based in Bangalore.

I originally trained in textile design, and that foundation really shaped the way I see the world - through pattern, rhythm, textures, craft and detail.

My work sits somewhere between memory and imagination. I’m drawn to spaces that were everyday - courtyards, terraces, birdbaths, stairways and plants, animals - and I like transforming them into slightly surreal, dreamlike worlds.

My journey as an artist began quite intuitively. I kept sketching and painting alongside my design work and over time I realised this was the space where I could slow down, observe, and build worlds that felt personal yet somehow familiar to others too.
